How to tell your story for a personalized song

Turn memories, mood and expectations into a clear music brief.

A personalized song starts with a clear intention, rather than a long piece of writing. Think about who the song is for and how you want them to feel. A few concrete details can be more useful than broad statements.

Start with the occasion

A birthday, anniversary, wedding or unexpected gift: the listening moment matters. A lively celebration and a quiet evening for two may call for different choices.

Choose three small details

Note where you met, a phrase you share or a trip you took together. Instead of trying to include every memory, choose a few that matter to you. Leave out private information you do not want to share.

Describe the mood and genre

Start with words such as cheerful, emotional, calm or energetic. Mention your preferred genre and anything you would like to avoid. Describe tempo, instruments and atmosphere rather than asking to imitate a particular artist's voice.

Clarify expectations together

Discuss length, lyric language, delivery format, revision scope and timing before production. AI-assisted production also requires considering tool limitations and usage terms. Creating a recording does not automatically mean every commercial use is permitted.

A short example brief

“I'm thinking of a calm Turkish song as an anniversary gift. It could mention our trips and Sunday walks. Please leave out personal names. I'll discuss my preferred delivery date in our conversation.”

This is an illustrative brief, not a customer project. You do not need to share your entire story in the first message. Start with the intention and choose the details together.
