SCG Appointment Studio

Project overview

An interactive product demo built for SCGENCO, rather than a commercial client delivery. Barbershop, dental, beauty and spa templates demonstrate customization and booking workflows.

The need

Showing business identity, services and team availability in a connected experience.

The approach

One typed configuration, live React previews, deterministic availability based on duration, breaks, staff qualification and existing appointments, plus a shared session dashboard.

Application architecture

Static localized page → lazy-loaded studio → validated Design v1 model → themed views and pure booking rules → session appointments. JSON transfer contains design only. No server, database or authentication is implemented.

Engineering focus

Preserving booking selections through appearance changes, computing floating local dates without UTC shifts, and preventing untrusted JSON from becoming executable CSS or content.

Outcome and boundaries

A working, tested local prototype. It makes no real reservations and provides no customer persistence, payments, notifications or app-store binary. Future .NET/PostgreSQL work could add authoritative permissions, transactional booking and persistence; these are not current features.
